Enhanced Active Shooter Course

This is a 4 day 40 hour intensive, team oriented training course geared towards the patrol officer. This scenario based course covers the entire spectrum of the active shooter mission to the point of turning control over to tactical units. There is heavy emphasis on team building and communication throughout the training. Classes are about 30 percent classroom/70 percent practical exercises. Major topics include:

History
Equipment
Mental Preparation
Human Decision Cycle
Exterior/Open Air tactics
Breaching Setups- Exterior/Interior
Hallway Movement
Room Entries - 2 person/4 person
Collapsing/Searching a Room
Medical Contingencies

Active Shooter Team Leader Course

This is an 8 hour classroom presentation on leadership, geared towards an active shooter team leader or assistant team leader. Course topics cover general leadership, leading before the fight, leading during the fight, leading in training, planning, building and documenting training, and how to build lesson plans.

Cost: $125 per student.

Active Shooter Instructor Course

This is a 5 day, 48 hour course that is a combination of the Enhanced Active Shooter Course and the Active Shooter Team Leader Course. Upon completion, students will have the information and techniques necessary to plan and implement thorough, on-going training at their respective agencies. Course topics also include policy implementation and course development. The focus of this course is "what to teach" not "how to teach", so students must possess instructor certification(s) and be active instructors to be eligible to attend.

Cost: $700 per student.

Active Shooter Tactical Response Shooting

This is a two day intensive, team oriented, live fire training course that involves both pistol and urban rifle. Drills and tactics are geared around those that are taught in the Enhanced Active Shooter course. Attendees will experience all team formations and tactics live fire. Course topics include:

Ready positions Engaging multiple threats
Handgun transitions Active shooter team tactics
Moving and shooting Shooting under stress
Shooting at angles Shooting from cover


Cost: $250 per student.

Active Shooter Awareness for School Officials

This is a 4 hour classroom presentation that provides information to school administrators, principals, and vice principals on what a police response to an active shooter event may involve. Course topics covered include, history, typical police response plans and needs, what officials can expect from the police and what the police will expect of school officials in an event. Other topics include how to better prepare your staff and site, how to improve cooperation with police etc. This is not a "what to do" course but is informational only.

Cost: $60 per student.

Active Shooter CQB Combatives

This course is designed for Patrol Officers responding to an Active Shooter situation, who may face unarmed, combative subjects while experiencing limited mobility, in low light conditions, confined spaces and are armed with a rifle. The course topics include:

Team tactics
Equipment considerations
Vertical surface tactics
Strikes and impact weapons
Ground Control Tactics
Tactical lights as a weapon
Tactical falls
Tactical Takedowns
Weapon Control and retention
Less Lethal Weapons Options

Course Length: 1 day, total of 8 hours.
